Conservative Attorney and Former Heath Mayor Lorne Liechty Announces Campaign for Rockwall County Commissioner Precinct 3

Lifelong conservative and successful local attorney, Lorne Liechty, today announced his candidacy for Rockwall County Commissioner Precinct 3, representing parts of Heath, Fate, McLendon Chisholm, Rockwall, and unincorporated areas of eastern and southern Rockwall County.

“I am running to protect Rockwall’s conservative values and community,” said Liechty. “I will protect our small town, community-oriented way of life and preserve it for future generations by defending the conservative principles that make us thrive.”

Liechty has been an active public servant in Rockwall County for more than 25 years, serving on the Heath Park Board, City Council, and as Mayor where he developed the city parks and trail system, and upgraded aging roads and infrastructure to increase quality-of-life and grow the local economy. Currently, Liechty serves as a Commissioner on the Rockwall County Historical Commission and on the Board of Directors of the Rockwall County Open Space Alliance, where he works to preserve our county’s irreplaceable natural beauty. He is also a member and President-Elect of Rockwall Noon Rotary, and has served on the Board of Directors of Rockwall County Helping Hands.

Liechty is the founding partner of a successful commercial real estate law firm where for more than 30 years he has helped businesses large and small bring high-quality jobs and excellent amenities to communities all over the country.

“Rockwall County has experienced tremendous growth, but we must make sure we do not lose what has made our community so special,” said Liechty. “As a County Commissioner, I will support law enforcement, fight for low taxes, open spaces, improved roads, and efficient limited government that respects personal freedoms.”

Liechty and his wife, Mary, have lived in Rockwall County since 1986, and are proud parents of four and grandparents of seven. Lorne and Mary attend Lakeshore Church, where Lorne has served as an Elder for more than 15 years. Lorne and Mary have also organized and led multiple mission trips to Nicaragua, and tours to Israel.
